It was National Flip Flop Day at Camp Sunshine at Sebago Lake in Maine. To help celebrate the 10 year partnership between the camp and Tropical Smoothie Cafe, they announced the launch of "Share The Sunshine" campaign.

A press release came out about Camp Sunshine and Tropical Smoothie Cafe's  "Share The Sunshine" campaign designed to identify and send deserving families to the upstate camp in Maine that offers fun experiences to children with life-threatening illnesses.

Tropical Smoothie Cafe has been supporting Camp Sunshine through nearly $4 million in donations for the past 10 years. Usually, it costs around $2,500 to send a family up to the camp, but the company wanted to help out even more. Tropical Smoothie Cafe had asked everyone to share their stories, it could've been their own, a friends, or family member's to give them a much-needed sunny experience.

To help Tropical Smoothie Cafe share the sunshine with a lucky family, fans could make nominations online at www.TropicalSmoothieCafe/SharetheSunshine to share a family's story. Selected families were notified after the completion of Flip Flop Day which was Friday, June 17.

Donations to the camp are always appreciated no matter the amount.
