Name The Turk’s Seafood Octopus To Win A $100 Gift Card

Turk's Seafood is open again for another season.  A few minor changes include some new dishes and a new octopus mural.  

Turk's Seafood is back!  As the iconic Mattapoisett restaurant ramps up for another summer packed with New York tourists, they are offering a unique opportunity for the locals.

You'll find some new items on their menu, like crab crusted New Bedford scallops w/ shallot cream sauce, fingerling potatoes and asparagus, but there is also some new decor.  Namely, a new octopus mural is featured on one of the walls at Turk's.  Ownership is looking for your help to name the 8 legged creature.  Stop by between now and Friday, take a look at the purple octopus, and think of a great name.  You can enter to win a $100 Turk's gift card.

We've seen some pretty good suggestions as to what the name could be.  Some of our favorites are Ollie, Squiggs, and Tini, but I'm sure there's some pretty punny we haven't seen yet.  Could there be an opportunity to play off of Mattapoisett's famed Salty the Seahorse?

The winner will be decided this Friday (on Good Friday).  The best name for the octopus wins.
