Peter Long and his family own and operate a local small business, Lotus Nails & Spa, out of Plymouth. He and many others in the same business were forced to close their doors amid the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic. Peter actually chose to close a week before the state mandated that all hair salons, massage and spas were forced to close. Peter felt compelled to not only keep his customers and staff safe from COVID-19, but he wanted to do everything he could to help others during this time.

This whole thing got me wondering if other nail, hair and skin spa salons are doing the same thing as Peter here. If you think about it, in addition to the much-needed face masks, most hair salons have latex protective gloves, right? It would be great to know that others are following in Peter's thought process here.

In going through some of what he is posting on Facebook, although he has had to temporarily close, he is staying positive about his business and doing everything he can to help his community. I think he is a model small business owner and should be applauded for the way he's handled himself through these very trying times.

For the last 25 yrs i always have to 2 jobs. I felt like i was Superman working countless hours.

Now my shop is shut down due to Coronavirus. I guess Coronavirus is my Kryptonite
