Move To Vermont And Collect $10,000
It's True. The Green Mountain State is offering big money for out of state residents to relocate there. It's going to be "first come first serve," and there are a couple of conditions.
The bill, which takes effect next January, was signed into Vermont law last week. According to workqz.com, people who move to Vermont and work full-time for an out-of-state employer will be paid $10,000.
Vermont has budgeted enough money to pay 100 workers to move to their state. It will be paid over the course of 2 years at $5,000 each year. The money is to help over moving expenses and the broadband, computer and software you may need to work remotely.
The state has recently seen a decline in the number of young workers, and is hoping to reverse that trend. Vermont also plans to offer incentives for the state's tourists to move there permanently.
