Danny Dimond and his nephew had just come back from giving an estimate to a customer of his garage door business.  They were on Route 240 at the intersection of Bridge Street in Fairhaven when they saw a wallet fly from the car in front of them and money started flying everywhere all over the highway.

"My nephew thought he saw someone throw the wallet out of the passenger side window," said Dimond, "but I think it was probably left on the roof of the car and it flew off as the car was speeding up."

"All I know is that money was flying everywhere," Dimond said, "it was like something you'd see in a movie.  You never see that kind of thing in real life."

The business owner and his nephew pulled over, recovered the wallet and quickly collected as much of the money as they could.

They immediately brought the money to the Fairhaven Police Department.  Dimond tells us that the two of them collected $227 and that the name on the license was Joseph Almeda from Fairhaven.

"I don't know who he is, or how much he needs the money.  I just know that I would hope someone would do the same for me."

If you know a Joseph Almeida, he might want to reach out to Fairhaven Police.
