Starting a modeling career is tough for anyone. Adding a disability to the equation should be near impossible, but one 18-year-old is proving that wrong.

Madeline Stuart of Brisbane, Australia is an aspiring model who could help change the industry.

Madeline was born with Down Syndrome.

A model with Down Syndrome?

Yup, and she's proving all her doubters wrong.

According to Today.com, Madeline struggled with her weight when she was younger. She found her confidence through activities like dance, swimming, and cheerleading, which helped her lose over 40 lbs.

Madeline's mother, Rosanne, said her daughter dealt with a lot of negativity and ignorance throughout her life. People would even say Madeline shouldn't be out in public.

Well, now the haters can see her everywhere.

Madeline says that she hopes "exposure will help to create acceptance," and her modeling career will help change society's view of people with Down Syndrome.

She's definitely proving that you can do anything if you put your mind to it.
