FREETOWN - A woman that had been reported missing in New Bedford Thursday has turned up unconscious in Freetown.

Area residents received a reverse 9-1-1 call yesterday, alerting them to the missing 27-year-old New Bedford woman. The night passed without police being able to pinpoint her location.

Freetown Police tell WBSM News at about 4 A.M. Friday morning, a County Road resident was leaving his home for work when he found an unconscious woman in his driveway.

Freetown Police and Fire personnel were called to the scene and found the woman showing signs of hypothermia. She was transported to St. Luke's Hospital for treatment.

Police determined the woman found in Freetown was the same woman reported missing from New Bedford Thursday afternoon.

It's unclear how the woman ended up in Freetown, or how she became unconscious. We'll have more information as it becomes available.
