Michaela Johnson Makes Debut on the Fun 107 Morning Show

(Fairhaven, MA)  It is official.  Longtime television personality and Bruins in-arena host, Michaela Johnson, has signed on to join the Fun 107 Morning Show.  Johnson won a "Search for a Star" contest with WPRI-TV 12 back in 2010, but remained on the show until 2022.  "When I left the Rhode Show I remember saying, 'I was supposed to stay here for 12 months, but 12 months turned into 12 years."

During her college days, Johnson was a walk-on college basketball star at Bridgewater State University, eventually serving as a two-year team captain.  She earned a bachelor's degree in communications at BSU.

Most people are lucky to have one career in a field they truly love, Michaela has two!  She has been able to merge her two passions, sports and public speaking into one dream job with the Boston Bruins.

This marks Michaela's 9th season as Boston Bruins in-arena host.  Mick embeds herself into the Boston Garden crowd, entertaining people while hockey is not being played.  She runs contests, gets people on the jumbotron, and interviews Bruins current and former players. Johnson plays a similar role for the Winter Classic and the NHL All Star Games.

Since Maddie Levine switched to afternoons, Fun 107 has been on the lookout for the right person to join the Fun Morning Show.

If today's show is any indication, Gazelle and I have found the perfect fit!  "Michaela sounds like she's been on the air with you guys for years.  She fits right in," wrote Brenda from Wareham on the Fun 107 app.

"I just wanted to find a place where I'd be as welcomed as on the Rhode Show, and I think I've found it with these guys," said Johnson.  "I've grown some true friendships from the shows I've worked on over the years.  That's the best part of the job."
