The message — as well as unconfirmed scanner reports — both stated that the suspect has lost a shoe.

Although the reports have yet to be confirmed by law enforcement, scanner reports starting at around 5 a.m. Friday noted that Mattapoisett police were chasing two suspects, first on foot and later in a white vehicle, in Mattapoisett town center.
The suspect vehicle eventually crashed near the North Street interchange with I-195 and the suspects fled on foot, according to the unconfirmed reports.
One of the male suspects was later caught by a K9, but the search for the second suspect continues.
