Mattapoisett Library Offers Unique Item to Check Out
There's something so special about going to the library. Maybe it's the nostalgia it triggers or the simple pleasure of strolling through the book-filled buildings in search of a new read.
The quaint charm of a library is something that many enjoy, especially here on the SouthCoast.

New Item to Check Out
One of the many libraries within the SAILS Library Network is the Mattapoisett Free Public Library. Located on Barstow Street in Mattapoisett, the library is full of great reads, movies, summer reading programs for kids and more.
This summer, you can now check out a new item from the library and this one may surprise you.

Strollers are available to rent at the Mattapoisett Free Public Library.
Top-Notch Strollers
These strollers aren't your cheap fold-up ones, either. They're heavy-duty and really nice. Plus, they can accommodate two children.
If you have little ones coming into town for a visit, let the parents know they don't need to check a stroller at the gate at the airport or cram the suitcases around the wheels when packing up the truck of the car.
"They're built for the beach, local Land Trust trails, or bike paths" the library shared on its Facebook page.

"Please bring an adult SAILS library card to borrow our Evenflo All Terrain Wagon or Jeep Destination Double Stroller for one week," the library stated.
Donations Made It Happen
How did the strollers become available? Generosity. Various members of the community donated the new items.
"Thanks to a generous grant from the Richard & Ann J. Prouty Foundation, Bank of America, N.A., Co-Trustee, the Library is able to offer two heavy-duty strollers for checkout," the Facebook post read.
