MassDOT Announces Temporary Closure of Faunce Corner Road

DARTMOUTH — The Massachusetts Department of Transportation Highway Division District 5 has announced that Faunce Corner Road in Dartmouth will be temporarily closed to vehicular traffic from Sunday, July 16, through Friday, July 28. Segments of Faunce Corner Road will be closed nightly from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.

There will be no work scheduled for the night of Saturday, July 22.

The closure is necessary to allow for roadway paving. Access to businesses will be maintained at all times during business operating hours.

The detour routes are listed as:

Traveling on Route 6 Westbound:
--Continue on Route 6 Westbound, past Faunce Corner Road, to Cross Road
--Right onto Cross Road
--Follow Cross Road until it intersect with Faunce Corner Road

Traveling on Route 6 Eastbound:
--Turn left onto Cross Road
--Follow Cross Road until it intersect with Faunce Corner Road

Traveling South on Faunce Corner Road:
--Turn right onto Cross Road
--Follow Cross Road until it intersect with Route 6

Traveling North on Faunce Corner Road:
--Turn left onto Cross Road
--Follow Cross Road until it intersect with Route 6

MassDOT advises motorists to seek alternate routes during these times.
