Massachusetts and Rhode Island School Vacation Weeks Differ
School vacation week is right around the corner, but this year things may look a bit different in our area.
Typically, Rhode Island and Massachusetts schools have the same mid-April week off. The week itself may change year to year, but you can most likely count on both states sharing the time off.
However, this year, it's different. Rhode Island's vacation week (and even Connecticut's) runs from April 14-18 whereas Massachusetts' school vacation is the following week, April 21-25.

For business owners, the RI and MA school vacation weeks can be extremely beneficial. This year's difference in weeks can extend a spike in business for the aforementioned places and restaurants too.
The Downside of Separate Vacation Weeks

I was bummed to hear that our vacations were different this year, meaning my husband and I are scrambling to rearrange certain things and adjust our schedules during the week off. We'll make it work, of course, but it certainly threw a wrench into our plan.

For those enjoying the time off with the kids, happy vacation!
