Massachusetts McDonald’s Drive-Thru Reminds Customers of Sauce Policy
While making yet another trip through the McDonald's drive-thru, I couldn't help but notice a new sign in the window that announces the restaurant's sauce policy. Did you know McDonald's has a policy for the number of sauce packets you can receive? I didn't.
The Breakdown of the New Dipping Sauce Limits
According to the policy, a certain number of sauce packets is allotted to various menu items. For example, a four-piece or six-piece McNugget will get one sauce, a 20-piece receive two, 40-piece gets three and McCrispy Strips get two.

"Sauce packet requests that exceed what is provided, there will be an additional charge of 25 cents per sauce," the sign read.
Spotting the Upcharge Signs in Fairhaven
The McDonald's I went to is located in Fairhaven, not far from our Fun 107 studio. I've visited many times and the sign wasn't there, so I'm curious as to what sparked the need to post one. Actually, it's two. One sign is in the window where you pay, the other is taped to the pick-up window.

Perhaps I never picked up on their sauce policy because we don't order any. With kids in tow, Happy Meals are a must and every time we get nuggets, we're asked what sauce we'd like. The answer is always none.
