Mass State Troopers Lasso Llama [PHOTOS]

Massachusetts State Police had to literally lasso a llama running loose on a state highway.

A llama was spotted running loose on a state highway in Russell, MA early Thursday morning and it took a state trooper with some impressive cowboy skills to round him up!

Troopers Matthew Kane and Kyle Minnicucci were called to the scene around 1 a.m. and fearing for the animal's safety on the dark highway, Kane used a rope from the cruiser to catch the llama and lead it to safety.

The owner of the animal has yet to be determined, but the owner of a nearby horse farm offered to keep the llama they are found.
