Marion Boy Davin Alves Raises $5,580 in Third Annual Holiday Raffle to Fight Hunger
Marion's Davin Alves has concluded his third annual holiday raffle with remarkable success.
The young man with an enormous heart and passion for helping others raised a total of $5,580 to support those in need. That's $5,580 worth of food that will help feed families who are struggling with hunger in the SouthCoast community.
This year’s proceeds were donated to the United Way of Greater New Bedford and Damien’s Food Pantry in Wareham.
3 Years of Hard Work and Charitable Fundraising
Since the fundraiser's inception, 12-year-old Davin has raised an impressive total of $9,880 with $5,580 raised this year, $3,400 in 2023, and $900 in 2022.
His mission, which began three years ago with the help of his parents, continues to grow, thanks to the power of community support and youthful determination.
Through Davin's raffle, which involves auctioning donated items via Facebook Live, Davin has once again made a significant impact in combating hunger during the holiday season – and he's not done yet.
The Alves family extends their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to this year’s raffle, making it their most successful drive yet.
