Mardi Gras Nightclub Reopening Under New Name

If you've missed the Mardi Gras Multi Club in Cranston, you are not alone. And luckily it will be reopening...but under a new name.

Owner John Readey posted on Facebook recently that he was missing the nightclub business and that rumors of him trying to reopen were in fact true.

Mardi Gras initially closed in November after 28 years in business, leaving many party people bummed by the news.

Although the post said it would take some minor miracles for them to reopen the former Cranston hot spot...it seems those miracles have happened.

Mardi Gras will reopen on Friday March 16th as The Nightclub 5.

No word on if all the old clubs will be the same or what The Nightclub 5 will be all about, but clubgoers can find out in just a few short weeks.

Most former Mardi Gras fans seemed very excited by the news, though some were less impressed with the reopening plans.

Whether you are thrilled or not, don't plan on seeing the famous Mardi Gras shark in the building...he's already been sold.
