Man Arrested for Causing Disturbance in New Bedford Supermarket
NEW BEDFORD — A man reportedly causing a disturbance in a supermarket restroom is arrested Wednesday night.
New Bedford Police responded to a report of a man causing a disturbance in the rest room of the Stop and Shop located at 438 Dartmouth Street at approximately 6:52 p.m. Wednesday.
When police investigated, the man was found to have a knife in his possession. Police say he only possessed the knife, and did not use it.
Arrested was 33-year-old Ryan J. DeCosta of 84 Fruit Street, Apartment 1, in New Bedford. He faces charges of disturbing the peace, and carrying of certain weapons on a person.
