'Love on the Spectrum' Star James Jones Visits Fun 107

I didn't start watching the Netflix hit Love on the Spectrum until last summer, but once I was introduced to it, I was hooked. I binged the show with my daughter after she insisted I would love it if I just gave it a try. She was so right.

Love on the Spectrum is such a heartwarming, wholesome show. It is exactly the kind of show the world needs right now. If you have not seen it, the series follows people with autism as they navigate the tricky world of dating, relationships, and new experiences.

Massachusetts Connections on Love on the Spectrum

Coincidentally, there are a number of ties to Boston and Massachusetts. A couple of the cast members, James and Pari, are from Boston. Madison now lives in Florida, but she grew up in Massachusetts. In the show, she mentions missing her former homes in Sudbury and Plymouth. Madison also worked as a paraprofessional at an elementary school in Kingston.

We decided to reach out to James Jones from Love on the Spectrum to talk about how he got the chance to be on the show and how the experience has changed his life. He enthusiastically agreed to join us on The MGM Show on one condition: he wanted to make sure his girlfriend, Shelley Wolfe, could join him for the interview, and we were thrilled to have her with us.

Post-Interview New Bedford Lunch

After the interview, we all grabbed lunch at the Black Whale in New Bedford. One of the things that really struck me during our time with James and Shelley was how attentive he was to her needs. James shared that he used to struggle with picking up on emotions, but he is so tuned in to Shelley that he can tell when she is happy, sad, shy, or feeling adventurous.

One thing is for sure, James and Shelley are definitely enjoying each other's company. None of us would be surprised to see an engagement ring or even wedding bells for these two in 2026.
