If you think you know the story of Lizzie Borden, this new biopic may completely change your mind.

The new film, set to be released on September 14, is totally different from anything you may have learned in school--and I find intriguing.

Lizzie adds some very interesting twists into why Borden did (or did not) murder her father and stepmother.

An illicit relationship between Borden, played by Chloe Sevigny, and the Borden's live-in maid Bridget Sullivan, played by Kristen Stewart, is at the heart of this film and the ultimate cause of Lizzie's parents' untimely death.

The trailer certainly leaves you on edge, and it promises a totally shocking ending.

But don't go expecting to see any local sites.

Although the Lizzie Borden tale is based in Fall River, no actual local filming was done. The house isn't the Borden house, the streets aren't Fall River. Most of the filming took place at the (also allegedly haunted) Sorrell Reed Mansion in Savannah, Georgia. I don't think anything is even Massachusetts.

Still, the trailer looks good if you ask me, and this could be a must-see movie this fall, and maybe even a contender come award season.
