The Last Day Is Here to Use Gift Cards at Christmas Tree Shops Before Closure
Attention, shoppers. Today (July 21) is the very last day that gift cards can be used at Christmas Tree Shops at all locations before the Middleboro-based store closes its doors for good.
Rummage through your wallets and purses. It’s time to empty them of any Christmas Tree savings.

What’s Going On with Christmas Tree Shops?
First, a rebranding plan was set in place last year for Christmas Tree Shops to become CTS in an attempt to prepare for some “big changes.”
Then, the company filed for bankruptcy this year, which was a huge bummer to locals.
Now, reports have confirmed that the retailer is headed for liquidation.
It's the official ending to a hard-fought battle. Just last year, we thought we would see a resurgence of brand-new Christmas Tree Shops in the form of CTS, but after the retailer ultimately terminated its bankruptcy loan, we are forced to say goodbye.
The Last Day to Use Gift Cards at Christmas Tree Shops
According to the Christmas Tree Shop website, gift cards must be redeemed by today, July 21. CBS News explained it is “according to the plan approved by a bankruptcy court judge.”
All stores are expected to be closed by the end of August.
The website boasts a “Going Out of Business Sale” with up to 60% off merchandise.
Hopefully, there are still some desirable items on the shelves, but it’s still worth a drop-in with savings like that.
It’s the end of an era for SouthCoast-based shoppers.
