Lane Closures On Braga Bridge This Week

Overnight lane closures will be happening every night this week both eastbound and westbound over the Braga Bridge.

MassDOT says the lane closures will be from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. starting tonight (June 20th) and continuing until Friday June 25th.

Both 195 East and West will be down to one lane over the bridge overnight all week, presumably slowing traffic around the bridge as traffic merges.

The lane closures are necessary to allow construction workers to perform median repairs.

The $200 million construction project has been going on since 2013, but in the end should provide easier access to the highway as well as bike lanes and wider sidewalks.
