Kyle is a fun-loving and playful 9-year-old boy who is always willing to experience new things when accompanied by a fun, engaging adult. He has an infectious laugh and is not afraid to get silly.
A few of Kyle's favorite activities are rolling and throwing balls, making animal sounds, hide and seek, and peek-a-boo. He loves it when people get down on the mat to play with him.  Kyle will approach staff to get squeezes and to sit on their laps to bounce up and down.
Kyle loves to swing and is highly motivated by water play, such as using a water table and water mat in the classroom. Kyle also enjoys a variety of other classroom sensory experiences such as playing at the sand table, playing with shaving cream on his desk and using the sensory brush to brush his arms.
When it's time to relax, Kyle likes sitting on the bean bag in class to watch his favorite videos on the Smartboard. He also enjoys interacting with various apps on the Smartboard and the iPad (playing piano, shape matching, farm animals, music, and stories). He can navigate multiple game apps with independence.
Kyl, who has overcome many obstacles and defied expectations by learning to walk and run, has also been engaging in parallel play with his peers thanks to support from his teacher. He has been doing great with turn-taking. He is an active participant in his classroom and has been making significant progress in all areas.
Providers say that Kyle has extraordinary potential and can conquer anything. He has a devoted team that looks forward to supporting his transition to a family.
He will thrive with an active and affectionate family of any makeup prepared to advocate for him and celebrate his progress.
He has a positive relationship with his biological mother and this must be maintained. While Kyle is looking for a permanent home, his social worker feels that he could benefit from a visiting resource, and is open to exploring that option with anyone who might be interested.

Who Can Adopt?

If you’re at least 18, have a stable source of income and have room in your heart, you may be a perfect match to adopt a waiting child. Adoptive parents can be single, married or partnered; experienced or not; renters or homeowners; LGBTQ+ singles and couples. As an adoptive parent, you won’t have to pay any fees. Adoption from foster care is completely free in Massachusetts.

Adopting a child from foster care includes training, interviews and home visits to determine if adoption is right for you. These steps will help match you with a child or sibling group that will be a good fit.

To learn more about adoption from foster care, call the Massachusetts Adoption Resource Exchange (MARE) at (617) 964-6273 or visit www.mareinc.org. Start the process today and give a waiting child a permanent place to call home.
