Fun 107 turned out to be the center of attention during a challenge in the KD 'Amazing Race.'

It's not everyday that people set up shop outside of the Fun 107 studio and start singing Sweet Caroline and We Are The Champions on the sidewalk, but that's exactly what happened this morning.

The Kennedy Donovan Center was in the middle of a heated session of an Amazing Race Scavenger Hunt.

The Kennedy Donovan Center teams were from Foster Care, Adult Foster Care, and Shared Living from New Bedford, Cape Cod and Milford.  Each of the teams were tasked with getting to 7 stops around the New Bedford area.  At each stop the teams were asked to complete a challenge.

No surprise that the challenge here at Fun 107 was music related.  Each team had to pick an envelope.  Each envelope had the name of the song and the lyrics.  After the song was selected, the music fired up and contestants started belting out lyrics like they were in the first round of American Idol.

Gazelle and I were happy to go outside in the sunshine and partake in the fun.

Coming up on Saturday, June 1, Kennedy Donovan Center will be hosting its second annual Community Resource Fair starting at 10 AM.

It's a chance to learn about invaluable resources in and around New Bedford.  The kids will love the alpaca petting zoo, face painting, and visits from New Bedford EMS, fire, and police departments.  Gazelle will be playing music starting at 10:30 AM.

Kennedy Donovan Center's North Campus is located at 389 County Street, New Bedford.  They offer early intervention for children.
