The Patio East Greenwich Gets a Visit from Celebrity Josh Peck

My head is officially on a swivel for the remainder of this weekend now that I know Nickelodeon OG star Josh Peck is in Rhode Island. The "Drake and Josh" star was spotted at The Patio on Main in East Greenwich Thursday night, and according to his waitress, Nicole, Peck is in town filming a new movie.

“It was like my childhood dream was coming true,” said Nicole Braga, the lucky waitress who served Peck and his crew. “I couldn’t believe it.”

Braga played it cool and tried not to fangirl when Peck, Jaimie Chung and a few others approached the hostess stand looking for a table. When they finally got settled, Braga quickly learned just how friendly Peck was.

“He was so calming, he actually seemed a little shy,” she said. “He seemed really down to Earth and he was so appreciative.”

The celebs told Braga that they were in town filming a movie about the opioid addiction that unfortunately plagues the area.

And according to Variety, that upcoming movie is called "Junction."

Right before he left, Peck offered to take a picture with Braga, and she officially became the envy of every '90s baby in Rhode Island.

As if that wasn’t cool enough, some of the cast and crew stuck behind for drinks and left a couple of 5-star reviews on Yelp before departing.

Braga grew up watching Peck on Nickelodeon, and to be able to meet him in person was surreal. Now excuse me while I casually stroll around Main Street hoping for a similar interaction…
