Jogger Struck by Vehicle in Acushnet

ACUSHNET — Police, Fire and EMS personnel were called to Hamlin Street at about 5:25 p.m. on Tuesday for a reported vehicle-pedestrian accident.

The Acushnet Fire Department did confirm that a jogger was struck by a vehicle on Hamlin Street.

The jogger remained conscious and was transported to Rhode Island Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The Acushnet Police Department is investigating. No charges have been filed at this time and the names of those involved have not been released.
