Jake Gyllenhaal has arrived.

Sightings of the A-list actor have been popping up this week as he begins filming for his next project with M.Night Shyamalan in the director’s chair.

In April, we shared the news that Shyamalan was headed to Rhode Island with Jake Gyllenhaal for the filming of Remain, a romantic thriller developed by Shyamalan and popular romantic author Nicholas Sparks.

In between production, it appears Gyllenhaal has already discovered where to find the best coffee in Newport.

Jake Gyllenhaal Spotted in Newport

The Nitro Bar in Newport, Rhode Island has become one of the hottest destinations in the state for good coffee and great vibes. With close to 500,000 followers on TikTok, the locally owned coffee shop has amassed a national fanbase.

With that many followers, they were bound to attract some high profile customers.

“DON’T GIVE UP,” said Audrey Finnochiaro in one of her latest TikToks from the passenger seat of a convertible with her husband and Nitro Bar co-owner, Sam Lancaster.

With close to 50,000 views, the caption read, “Oh and did I mention Jake Gyllenhaal came into the Nitro Bar today (?)”

Now we all patiently wait to hear what he ordered. I can’t be the only one dying to know.

Filming Has Begun for Remain

After his coffee trip, rumors began swirling that Gyllenhaal and the rest of the film crew would be popping up at Coffee Depot on Main Street in Warren.

The restaurant shared this notice the day prior, raising even more eyebrows that Hollywood may be in town.

ABC6 confirmed the rumor after speaking with the Coffee Depot owner, Steve Lake, who was thrilled to have his business chosen for the film.

The Cranston Street Armory in Providence is also booked to host this film’s production, so this certainly won’t be the last we see of Gyllenhaal.
