How to Hack Your Way to a Quicker Trip to the RMV

Whenever I hear the word "RMV," my feet already start to feel tired. Standing in the line that can take up to who knows how long doesn't sound fun to anyone. Unless you plan on spending the time you are waiting in line binge-watching your favorite show on your phone, it gets pretty boring. Not only is the line usually long, every visit is different and you never know what to expect. There could be three people in front of you or there could be 30. This guessing game is never a fun time.

Luckily, I have figured out a way to avoid the hassle of those unknown anxiety-driven wait times. One day, I stumbled upon the New Bedford RMV Service Center page on Mass.gov's website and it was absolute gold. It is your key to knowing exactly when it's the perfect time to go to the RMV. The page features a small section at the top right that lets you know wait times specifically for licensing and registration. It also shows the last time it had been updated and the location you are looking at can be found under "Address."

Score one for the good guys.

You can also easily compare the wait times of different RMVs across Massachusetts by clicking on the "See and Compare times at RMV Service Centers in your area" button. This brings you to a page that lists all of the RMV Service Center locations along with their wait times.

Planning accordingly never felt so good.
