Holiday Wish Week Returns Next Week

Since 2015, Fun 107 has partnered with the United Way of Greater New Bedford to shine our spotlight on needy families here on the SouthCoast.

Beginning next week, each morning Michael and Maddie will share the story of one of our Holiday Wish families. These families are going through a tough time in their lives that may be caused by a sick child or parent, a lost job, or another difficult obstacle.

Holiday Wish is designed to be unlike many other charities. Instead of donating to nameless, faceless families, donations for Holiday Wish can be made to specific people. You'll have the chance to hear these local families share their stories with the Michael and Maddie audience. You'll often hear SouthCoast businesses, moved by the stories they are hearing, coming together to make donations to the families. You'll hear children telling us the toys on their wish list and SouthCoast families pledging to make those wishes come true.

There are two numbers you'll want to keep handy during Holiday Wish Week. The first one is the Fun 107 studio line. You can call (508) 994-1071 to make a donation to the Holiday Wish family you are hearing on the air. You can also text to donate. Simply text the word "wishes" to the number 313131. You'll have the option of making a donation in any amount. Your donation can be made to any of the families we've spotlighted, or it can be a general donation to the Holiday Wish cause.
