It seems like every day, a new trend comes out. Currently, I'm pretending that I can keep up better than most of those in the Fun 107 office. Every once in awhile I really tilt my head and wonder, why?

One of our street team members that is still in college was wearing a scrunchie around his wrist. I only noticed it once but didn't say anything. He had longer hair so he may have stolen it from his sister. None of my business, right?

Apparently this 90's trend came back in style for girls thanks to Stranger Things. I think it's just like everything and clothing trends go in cycles. The scrunchie trend is back.

It makes sense for girls, but why are boys wearing these puffy hair ties around their wrists?

Apparently this signifies that they're in a relationship. If a girl likes a boy she will give him her scrunchie. Cute, right? I'm glad I didn't ask our street teamer why he had one around his wrist. If he is wearing a scrunchie around his wrists that means he likes the girl back and is a sign to other girls that he is taken.

A promise ring of sorts, I guess.

Parents, be on the lookout for scrunchies on your child's wrist. More importantly, if you have a daughter and she all of a sudden doesn't have any scrunchies, then you know she may have had her eye on a boy and already sealed the deal.

I think this is super cute. No harm done. What do you think of this scrunchie trend? Have you seen it first hand as I have? Do tell!
