Happy Health Center in Taunton Creates Community for Adults of All Ages

A growing resource for families across the SouthCoast, Happy Health Center in Taunton offers a warm and supportive community for adults of all ages. Founded in 2020, the center operates inside the historic Roseland Ballroom, located above Hong Kong City Restaurant. During the week, the ballroom transforms into a vibrant adult day health program; every other Sunday, it still hosts traditional ballroom dancing.

More Than Adult Day Care

Admissions and Marketing Director Jacqueline Ferreira-Lopez said Happy Health Center stands apart from traditional senior centers or nursing programs.

“We’re more than just a place to drop someone off,” she explained. “We are a community. Our participants choose to come every day and engage.”

The center blends medical and personal care support with activities that promote wellness, confidence, and joy. Services include:

• On-site nursing and healthcare coordination
• Personal care and assistance
• Nutritious daily meals
• Transportation to and from the center
• Group fitness, arts, recreation, and social activities
• Community outings like apple picking and seasonal events

Who Can Join Happy Health Center?

Happy Health Center serves adults 18-plus, with participants ranging from their 40s to their 90s. The center currently welcomes about 50 individuals per day.

The center accepts MassHealth and several senior health plans, and also offers private pay options for flexible scheduling.
