“Bachelorette” alum Greg Grippo made a trip to the Bay State over the weekend, and it’s safe to say he’s been the talk of Massachusetts TikTok.

Boston woman Kennedy Wilcox met Grippo at Thursday’s Red Sox game against the Minnesota Twins, and with some unexpected help of a ladybug, Wilcox knew in that moment that she had to sign up for the next season of “The Bachelor.”

“Immediately after meeting him, a ladybug lands on my thigh and then proceeds to crawl up my finger,” Wilcox said in a TikTok she later posted about the encounter. “so I just kind of took that as a sign as like Greg is going to be the next Bachelor and I must apply.”

Wilcox shared that her plan, as long as she lands a spot on the show and Greg lands the spot as the show’s lead, is possibly to get out of the first-night limo dressed as a Red Sox player, “to jog his memory a little.”

Fellow "Bachelorette" alum Christian Smith, a real estate agent from Newburyport, also shared a photo of Grippo on a now-expired Instagram story over the weekend, and it wasn't long after that the potential new "Bachelor" heartthrob was spotted with a group of friends around Harvard Square, as seen in this fan-captured video.

Although no one has officially been confirmed as the next lead for the ABC show, it's not too far of a stretch to deem Grippo as a potential candidate for the role. Grippo’s name has been thrown around as a possibility and rumored by sites dedicated to spoilers for the show. However, earlier this month, Grippo’s uncle allegedly denied that his nephew would be the next Bachelor, claiming the franchise offered Grippo the role, “but he declined.” Grippo’s uncle also claimed that the next Bachelor would be Grippo’s “Bachelorette” cast mate, Andrew Spencer.

It's anyone's guess at the moment as to who the next Bachelor may be and when the franchise will announce the new lead, but for now, we can keep cheering on Milford native Brendan Morais as he continues on his journey to find love on "Bachelor in Paradise."
