T.F. Green airport now has indoor bathrooms for service animals.

The new "Service Animal Relief Area" is located past security in the north concourse and includes a wash-down stall with a water hose as well as synthetic grass that covers a flushing system and a sink area with cleaning supplies.

The area was installed to comply with a federal requirement.

Previously those traveling with service animals had to be rescreened if they already passed through security and then had to go outside for their dogs to relieve themselves.

There is also an outdoor relief area for service animals.
