Graduation Stats Here On The Southcoast

Are more kids graduating now than in recent years?  Yes!  Let's take a look at our Southcoast towns right here!

These numbers represent the percentages of students graduating in each town...

Fairhaven- 92.0

Dartmouth- 89.2

Fall River- 70.4

Freetown-Lakeville- 93.4

Old Rochester (Marion, Mattapoisett and Rochester)- 95.7

Swansea- 92.0

Wareham- 73.0

Westport- 90.2

GNB Voc-Tech- 89.1

This is a look at the 4-year graduation rate from a report released yesterday by The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.  While New Bedfords 4-year graduation rate showed a slight decline of just under 1%, it's 5-year graduation rate is up to 67% which is the highest it's been since 2007.
