Gillette Stadium Giving Away Confetti from Taylor Swift Eras Tour

Gillette Stadium was all up in its feels this week as it marked the first anniversary of Taylor Swift's epic Eras Tour performances.

Swift brought her record-breaking tour to Foxboro for three magical nights May 19-21, 2023. The electricity from those shows still lingers at Patriot Place. So does the confetti.

That's right. Gillette held onto some confetti from the final night, Swift's 13th show at the venue. (Swifties know 13 and Taylor Swift go together like peanut butter and jelly.) Now it's offering it up to one lucky fan. All you have to do is tag a friend on Gillette's Facebook post for a chance to be entered. The contest closes on May 31.

Gillette spent several days remembering Swift's visit, including her famous rain show. "One year since the rainiest rain show that ever rain showed," the stadium's savvy social media staff posted with a picture of Swift embracing every drop in a sparkly purple dress.

The home of the New England Patriots also shared video of Swift proclaiming, "Gillette Stadium is the most joyful place on Earth." You get the feeling that the global superstar means it, as what she dubbed "Foxy Foxboro" was the first NFL stadium she ever played.

Swift, who in April 2024 released her 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Department (featuring a Massachusetts connection in song "Clara Bow" and perhaps another in the music video for "Fortnight"), has since taken the Eras Tour international. A piece of Massachusetts is with her on every stop, too. A dollhouse made in New Bedford is the centerpiece of one of her showstoppers.

Swift is a part-time New Englander, so it makes sense that Gillette would have her heart. She owns a gorgeous home in the glitzy seaside Watch Hill neighborhood of Westerly, Rhode Island, where she's known to throw a great Fourth of July party. She once owned a nice place on Cape Cod, too.

Anyone who tried to get into the Eras Tour knows it's a tough ticket. Many folks who would have loved to see Swift on home turf were shut out due to high demand and high ticket prices.
