Eat Barbecue and Sip Wine Soon at This Spot in Dartmouth
A couple of popular local Dartmouth businesses are "linking" up to bring customers the best of both worlds: barbecue and wine.
Missing Link BBQ and Running Brook Vineyard & Winery will work together as the food truck continues its search for a permanent location. Starting Nov. 18, you'll be able to wash down some melt-in-your-mouth brisket with delectable wine at Running Brook on Old Fall River Road.
Missing Link was, well, missing an indoor facility for customers to sit down and also a liquor license to serve wine, so the collaboration with Running Brook couldn't be more beneficial for both parties.
"We're going to have the same menu that we have been offering since we opened up," Stephen Davis, a cook over at Missing Link said. "The only thing that will be changing as far as the hours are concerned is that we'll be closing at 6 p.m. as opposed to 7 p.m. to comply with the winery hours. We'll be posting and updating our schedule on our Facebook."
This isn't the first time Running Brook has had food options, but having an on-site truck such as Missing Link will make for a change of scenery.
"We're looking forward to working with them," Running Brook bartender Kris Caisse said of Missing Link. "They are going to be setting up shop and we'll provide seating inside for people to enjoy their meal or outside when the weather is cooperative."
The winery has been open for 24 years. Missing Link is fairly new, having started in 2022 by co-owners Doug Moniz and Tom Lyon.
"Things are going very well. We're positively accepted throughout the community," Davis said. "We have a lot of loyal customers that are looking to try new things every time, and we're just happy that breakfast is starting to pick up."
Stay tuned for wine and brisket, coming soon to Old Fall River Road.
