Friendly’s Just Put the Cherry on Top
Just about everything we do has changed. Businesses are now coming up with creative ways to do what they do best. And that is true for Friendly's Ice Cream.
I'm not ashamed to admit that my very first job was as a waiter at the now-closed Friendly's in Fairhaven. While the chain has been struggling financially over the past decade, it still manages to keep some locations open and I certainly hope they keep the one in Dartmouth going.
Friendly's, along with so many other restaurants, had to get creative when it comes to delivering their product to their customers. I can't imagine that anyone that was born and raised on the SouthCoast hasn't had a sundae from Friendly's.
They got creative with what they are known for, the sundae. I called the Dartmouth location to verify they are in fact doing sundae kits.
These kits have everything they need in them for you to make Friendly's amazing sundaes at home while practicing social distancing. Here is what they posted to Instagram:
I, for one, will be grabbing one (ok, maybe a couple) of these kits for this Easter weekend.
