Free Medieval Faire Brings Hollywood Movie Director to Fairhaven
Discover Fairhaven Presents Huttleston HarborFest: A Medieval Faire
The popularity of events like King Richard’s Faire doesn’t seem to be waning whatsoever. Fans of the Netflix show Love on the Spectrum have even seen the faire spotlighted on a date, along with another in New York State.
Why wouldn’t a Medieval Faire work closer to the center of the SouthCoast?
Discover Fairhaven is inviting the community to step back in time for Huttleston HarborFest: A Medieval Faire. It’s a chance to enjoy a full day of old-world charm by the sea capped with a special Hollywood guest.
Daytime Fun by the Seaside
From 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Grimshaw Park at Fort Phoenix, visitors can enjoy a bustling marketplace filled with artisan vendors, themed food and drink, live entertainment, and medieval games. Knights, costumed performers, and musicians will set the scene, while hands-on activities provide fun for all ages. A costume contest at 3:30 PM encourages guests to dress as nobles, peasants, or even dragons for a chance to win.
Evening Revelry and Entertainment
The fun continues at 5:30 PM with food, drinks, and live entertainment, including a fire performer to light up the night sky. At 7:00 PM, the evening shifts to the big screen with a free outdoor showing of the hit film A Knight’s Tale. Guests can settle in under the stars for this fan favorite.
Special Appearance by Movie Director Brian Helgeland
Adding to the excitement, the film’s Oscar-winning writer and director, Brian Helgeland, will attend the screening, flying in from Los Angeles to personally introduce his film. Helgeland is known most recently for his work on the locally filmed The Finestkind.
The evening will wrap up around 9:15 PM, closing out the inaugural Huttleston HarborFest series in grand style.
Admission is free and open to all. For more information and a full list of vendors, visit www.discoverfairhaven.org/huttlestonharborfest2025
