More than likely you're going to be driving somewhere through Massachusetts on the 4th of July.  MASSDOT is trying to keep cars rolling smoothly on this long holiday weekend by cancelling all scheduled roadwork statewide AND giving out FREE COFFEE.

All 18 Massachusetts Department of Transportation Service Plazas will be open late serving the free coffee to accommodate travelers from 10 PM on Tuesday 7/4 through 5 AM Wednesday 7/5.

Those plazas include the ones along Route 24 in Bridgewater, Route 3 in Plymouth, Route 6 in Barnstable, Route I-95 in Newton and Lexington and 11 along the MassPike.

Also if you are heading into Boston for the annual 4th of July Boston Pops Concert, all MBTA service will be FREE after 9:30 PM to keep the crowds leaving the city moving after the festivities.

Have a Happy and Safe 4th!
