Fiery Fatal Crash Under Investigation in Wareham

WAREHAM — Massachusetts State Police are investigating a fatal crash after initially responding to a car fire early Thursday morning.

State Police Troop D received calls at approximately 3 a.m. Thursday reporting a motor vehicle on fire on Route 25 eastbound just before Exit 2 in Wareham.

Emergency responders found the vehicle against a tree in the median strip, fully engulfed in flames.

Firefighters extinguished the flames and found a deceased victim inside the vehicle.

Massachusetts State Police are investigating the apparent crash.
