Falmouth Woman Arrested for Striking Officer While Allegedly Driving Drunk
BARNSTABLE (WBSM) — Barnstable Police arrested a Falmouth woman for allegedly driving drunk after she struck an officer with her car while leaving a concert.
Lisa Limberakis, 45, faces charges that include operating under the influence of liquor and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.
A Barnstable officer was directing traffic on August 14 at approximately 10:40 p.m. outside of the Cape Cod Melody Tent in Hyannis.
Concertgoers were leaving when a car allegedly struck the officer's knee and flashlight. The officer declined medical attention.
Limberakis was ordered to pull her vehicle over.
After another officer spoke with Limberakis, it was alleged that an odor of alcohol was detected on her breath. According to the officer, Limberakis' eyes were also red and glossy, and she was slurring her speech.
Limberakis was placed under arrest following the officer's investigation and is expected to be arraigned today in Barnstable District Court.
