Over the last few years, my husband and I have gone to our share of summer festivals that involved not just music and drinks but food trucks, and lots of them. From Boston to Providence and Cape Cod and many locations in between, it's happening new thing.

I'm really looking forward to this particular food truck festival because of the location being so close to home. Wareham is becoming the town that has everything we need. You've got Wareham Crossing for shopping and restaurants, Onset Harbor is so much fun to visit in the summer and early fall, we love Quahog Republic right across from the harbor in Onset. The Cranberry Highway section of Wareham has many great family-owned seafood restaurants. And let's not forget about Water Wizz, also in Wareham.

Directly from its Facebook page, the Wareham Village Association announces, "For the first time ever the WVA and OBA are sponsoring a Fall Festival of food trucks, restaurants, vendors of all kinds and music this fall, scheduled for Sat Oct 5th 11-4pm (rain date is Oct 6th) in the parking lot adjacent to the fire station in Wareham Center. The Wareham Village Association and Onset Bay Association are so excited to be joining forces to present this exciting event for all to enjoy!"

Great local music, tons of awesome food choices, beer and wine for sale and an amazing array of vendors means this is going to be one heck of an event.
