FALL RIVER (WBSM) — Ever wanted to experience what a yoga class is all about? Now you can do it every week right in the heart of Fall River.

The summer is all about trying new things, but the pressure of commitment can cause some hesitation when looking to branch out.

That's especially true when it comes to fitness classes, which can be pricy and it can be intimidating to walk into something you've never tried before.

Sunset Yoga on the Pier will provide a free opportunity to have fun and break a sweat while enjoying the beautiful city waterfront accompanied by a sunset view.

Yoga will take place on the Fall River Pier every Monday night throughout June and September. Classes will be led by a local yoga instructor and run from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

From seasoned yogis to those taking their first steps on the mat, it's a chance to connect with others while basking in nature; another way to center yourself before a busy week ahead and whatever else may come your way.

While the event is free, you are responsible for bringing your own yoga mat for comfort. Of course, you'll be outdoors, so sunscreen, water and a towel are also advised.

Parking will be available in the lot off of Davol Street, which is located between Hathaway Street and Taylor Street. Look for the sign on the fence.

Bicentennial Park and Battleship Cove will also be available. However, parking is not allowed on Davol Street.

If you have always wanted to explore the world of yoga, this event seems like a great way to start.
