Another Wednesday, another chance for an adoptable pet to shine.

Wet Nose Wednesday is dedicated to giving the spotlight to animals on the SouthCoast that are in need of a place to call home. I’ve been working with several shelters in the area, and this week, I’m excited to introduce you to Star from Forever Paws Animal Shelter in Fall River.

Star is a one-year-old Lab-hound cross that has traveled a very long way. He was wandering the streets of Puerto Rico and sought refuge at a local church, where he was fed sporadically. He was then brought to a foster home, where the decision was made to send him to Forever Paws.

“Star received all of his medical care prior to coming to us here, confirmed healthy to travel, and clear of any contagious diseases,” said Arianna Silva, Director of Forever Paws. “Once his quarantine was up, he was then seen again by one of our local veterinarians, who also deemed him healthy and free of any contagious disease.”

Silva is ecstatic to have Star at the shelter because of his loving and kind nature. She says that he adores people, loves to snuggle, and has no issues with new faces. He does great with other dogs and his ideal home will have a fenced yard for endless running and playing.

Star is fixed, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to find his forever home.

Due to COVID-19, you must have an appointment to enter the building.
