FALL RIVER — Fall River police are on the lookout for the person or people responsible for apparent vandalism at the city's Notre Dame cemetery.

Police said the department's Major Crimes division is investigating damage to several monuments at the Stafford Road cemetery.

Four monuments were pushed off their foundations and knocked over on Monday between 7 and 10:30 a.m., according to police.

There were also tire tracks near the monuments and a portion of a headlight cover, police said.

Police are asking anyone with any information on the incident to contact Detective Luis Vertentes at 508-324-2796.
