The Fall River Public Library is giving us a haunted good time for the entire family, and the best part is it's free.

As we get closer to the spooky holiday of Halloween, you may be looking for ways to get in the scary spirit that the entire family can enjoy.

Going to a pumpkin patch or a haunted house may be just out of your budget. Thankfully, the Fall River Public Library is hosting a "Haunted Walk-Through" of the library, complete with ghosts, goblins and other frighteningly fun creatures.

The Haunted Walk-Thru is happening on Thursday, October 16, starting at 6 p.m. and will take place in the library's children's room.

What to Expect on the Haunted Walk-Through

There, you will begin a flashlight walk-through that will have fun and spooky surprises. Don't worry about bringing a flashlight; upon entering the room, each child will receive a mini flashlight.

Some of the spooks involved in this experience include scarecrows, giant spiders and numerous otherworldly characters. There is even a pirate's den where children can try and grab their share of the treasure out of the pirate's chest, if they dare.

Kid-Friendly Halloween Activities

Along with all of this, the library will also have Halloween crafts, some Halloween-themed games, and children can even receive a spooky temporary tattoo.

Who Can Attend and What to Bring

The library is recommending that this spooky experience be enjoyed by children ages five and up. You can also skip the spooky walk-through if you prefer; you can bypass it and go straight to the crafts and other Halloween fun.

This sounds like the perfect experience to take the kiddos and won't hurt the wallet.
