Fall River's Dunny's BBQ will close its doors this weekend but has begun renovations to reopen with more space and more options.

Dunny's BBQ on North Main Street in Fall River has been a staple for great tasting barbeque for the past 10 years. It's also been a favorite for the locals to grab an adult beverage at their beautiful historic bar.

Chris Donovan, the owner of Dunny's, has been working on expanding and repurposing the space, according to a Facebook post.

Dunny's will focus on catering as well as hosting private parties and the new space will be able to accommodate parties of 35 people or more.

"I made a decision with my dad to turn Dunnys into an event venue and party rental," Donovan told Fun 107. "These times are extremely tight for food industry and this transition made sense"

The renovations have been in the works for a few weeks now and there is still more to do. Dunny's will be closed to the public starting Saturday, March 15 and Donovan promised to update us when he has a date on when it will reopen.
