It's a good day on the SouthCoast to eat gluten-free.

Duke’s Bakery has officially expanded its gluten-free empire with the launch of Duke’s Chicken and Waffle Food Truck. The truck opened on Tuesday, March 25 at 147 Borden Street in Fall River, right across from the Cosmopolitan Dispensary, and will remain stationed at that location permanently.

Unlike traditional food trucks that move from place to place, this one is here to stay.

“We’re going to be using that one to do our training and stuff like that for anybody who buys a food truck,” said Michelle, an employee at Duke's. “So that one just stays at that location all the time.”

Customers can expect the same high-quality, gluten-free experience Duke’s is known for, with a menu featuring classic, BLT, Buffalo, and Baja chicken and waffles, all served with crispy fries. Everything is made entirely gluten-free, staying true to the bakery’s original mission of offering delicious alternatives for those with dietary restrictions.

For now, the food truck is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., though hours may be adjusted as operations get settled. Service is also weather-dependent, so customers should check in before heading over.

With its first food truck officially in business, Duke’s is one step closer to expanding its franchise model, bringing its popular gluten-free eats to more locations.

Whether you're gluten-free or just love a good chicken and waffle combo, Duke’s stationary food truck is ready to serve, so get it while it's hot.
