Welcome to Wet Nose Wednesday!

I am so excited to introduce you to this new weekly feature that will be showcasing animals from all over the SouthCoast that are up for adoption. We have teamed up with local shelters in the area to highlight a different pet each Wednesday and our goal is to get as many animals adopted as we can so they can get the fur-ever home they deserve.

Interested in a dog? Let me introduce you to Brooklyn.

This two-year-old female pit bull was brought to the Forever Paws Animal Shelter in Fall River in December. She was surrendered to the shelter because her family was moving, and they could not take her.

She loves to be around people, is a big fan of walks, and loves to use the agility course at the shelter. Arianna Silva, director at Forever Paws, explained that Brooklyn is a high-energy dog and would do really well in an active home. She’s the perfect pal for long walks, hikes, or running.

Unfortunately, Brooklyn was never socialized with other dogs. She doesn’t understand the meaning of personal space and typically does not know how to act around other animals. The shelter asks that Brooklyn be the only pet of the household.

This 52-pound pup is up to date on all of her shots, spayed prior to adoption, and microchipped. All that’s left to do is find her a family.
