Another Wednesday, another animal to save from the shelter. Fun 107 has lovingly dubbed Wednesday as Wet Nose Wednesday where we shine a light on a deserving animal that is searching for their forever home.

With the help of local shelters, we aim to get as many pets as adopted as possible by spreading the word about some incredible animals. This week, the spotlight belongs to Sam.

Sam is an eight-month-old cattle dog mix that has been living at Forever Paws Animal Shelter in Fall River. Sam is a lover. He loves people and gets along well with other dogs. He doesn’t seem to be bothered by cats but knows not to mess with them. Even as a puppy, Sam is kind and respectful.

It is important for Sam’s forever home to do some research on his breed.

“This breed is very smart, but needs a job to do,” said Arianna Silva, Director of Forever Paws. “You need to be active and Sam will need to be included in the activity.” He won’t do well in a crate for long periods of time and he won’t be satisfied with long days relaxing on the couch. Sam needs an active family and will make a great walking, running, or hiking partner.

As Sam navigates his puppy years, he will need a routine to ensure potty training and crate training.

Overall, Sam is a lovable pup with a great personality. He is ready to love if you’ll have him. Contact Forever Paws online to schedule an appointment and follow them on Facebook to stay up to date on puppy news.
