Fairhaven Man Charged with Drug Possession in New Bedford

NEW BEDFORD — Narcotics detectives on patrol in the north end observed an person acting suspiciously in the area of 15 Bullard Street.

Upon further investigation, the suspect was found to have crack cocaine in his possession. He was previously convicted of possession of a class B substance.

Peter J. Johnson, 38, of Adams Street, Fairhaven, was charged with possession of crack cocaine and possession of class B substance, subsequent offense.

The arrest was made at 9:53 p.m. Monday.
